Anyone else remember this?
Back in the early 60's, Hanna-Barbera did an experimental animation, they were negotiating to make a "Jack Armstrong, All-American Boy" series.

The deal fell through.

But the minute-long animation showed a boy and a man in a hovercraft, being chased by African natives, into a jet plane that takes off.
Anyone else remember seeing this?

(You no doubt did see it!) :-)

1. I vaguely remember something like that, but it could have been from a Dondi, or
a Johnny Quest or something instead of the one you remember.

4. Yeah, that was definitely a scene from Johnny Quest.
I think it was in the opening. I'm not saying there wasn't some OTHER hovercraft animation of the sort, but I remember the Johnny Quest one.

5. It was a great cartoon for 'tweens' then
I especially liked the one with the crazy old German dude who'd been a fighter pilot and challenged Race to a mock dogfight, but his guns were armed. Oh, and the one with the big blob of pure energy that had one eye. :D

One thing, though, that I came to dislike about it is that it was the first network cartoon filmed at 12 frames per second instead of the more fluid 16 fps that had been the standard for many years. It wasn't that I disliked "Jonny Quest" in particular, but the change it ushered in.
