1. The media aren't any more ruthless than any other carrion eater.

I'm not trying to be rude, or heartless. But -

As photos of the dead and dying go, that one isn't hideous at all. And I've seen more of that stuff than I care to remember.

On edit - added first sentence

2. The media has a job to do.
They have a lot of employees who need to play the bills. You may not agree with how they go about doing their job, but it's a job nonetheless. That picture was probably worth big bucks. These kinds of photos, well not so much death shots, but shocking pics, have been lucrative for many, many years.

3. Seconded...
No matter how good a picture is, professional photography is not well paying.

People will naturally find some big news whenever a chance exists.

It's kind of a sick system as it's all about money, but one has got to pay the bills and everyone who keeps saying there's got to be a better way to run a society haven't exactly done much, so they must have very few real complaints either...

4. It says the last photo before his death, but...
He was dead already. They never revived him. :(

7. Well, you posted it and I looked at it. Can't really blame the media.
BTW, is part of his nose missing? Bizarre.

9. This is from an article on his autopsy in The Sun. Part of his nose collapsed.
The King of Pop’s once handsome face bore a network of plastic surgery scars, while the bridge to his nose had vanished and its right side had partially collapsed.
