Not FAIR that Lounge stays normal-Lounge while GD is turned into celebrity death dumping ground!1

The Lounge looks absolutely NORMAL, with normal Lounge topics, only ONE MJ thread, and now one Billy MAYS thread, yet the GD continues flooded with ---NOT only MJ threads, but ALL kinds of un-GD topics --like, first the decision was made to "let people grieve," then it just turned into, "What the hey, let chaos rule!1"

LBN stayed LBN because of its very identity being defined by "24 hrs new-news" and no dupes/combining of dupes.

If only there could be a Special Events forum, where the occasional tsunami news events can play there at will. Or it could be the GD-P forum--for Primaries during primaries season, or for whatever special event tsunami when *that* happens.

Alas, GD, O woe, GD, we knew ye well!1

2. You need to keep a few factors in mind.

1) The Lounge can take a completely innocuous topic like chicken breading and turn it into a battle royale. We don't really need to introduce topics which begin with death and destruction.

2) The Lounge is still limping along from it's most recent bout of "The Great Clique (Or Not) Wars" and needs some downtime to recuperate.

3) The Lounge is noted for it's upbeat optimism and (mostly) positive posts.

Given time, things will return to normal and you'll find The Loungers mocking the GD'ers and posting GD copycat threads...
