There's an indie film program that airs on Wisconsin Public Television that highlights independent film, and they show the movie in its entirety right after the show. I've seen some good stuff on this program


Fishin' for Tradition: The Lutefisk Saga

A 30 min doc about the Norwegian delicacy (I use this term VERY lightly) that's dried cod soaked in Sodium Hydroxide solution and the midwestern culture surrounding it.

The Life of Reilly
The late Charles Nelson Reilley's final performance of his one-man show about his life. Very funny, and at times very moving.

Illegal Use of Joe Zopp

A surprisingly funny comedy about a man who returns to his Wisconsin hometown where everyone thinks he's dead. BTW, this film was made with a budget less than the cost of a used Honda Civic

Here Kitty, Kitty

Documentary about the Q 62 controversy (hunting feral cats), which put Wisconsin in the national spotlight in 2005.
