I went up to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to see Roger Clemens pitch for the Yanks' AAA team. It was the last stop in the minors during one of those shortened mercenary seasons he had. The stadium was packed, with people standing four deep all around the first level. Clemens of course chewed up the AAA hitters.

1. I go to minor league games anyway
I've seen a few Blue Jays rehabbing with the local AA team. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it to the game a few weeks ago where John Smoltz was the starter for Portland.

2. This is my answer too
I don't care if a major leaguer is there or not.

6. i like to follow the prospects
We have a AA Eastern League team in town, and teams tend not to send their rehabbing players to that level very often. I saw Greg Zaun a couple of years ago, but nobody bigger than that. AJ Burnett made a rehab start for New Hampshire a few years ago, but I couldn't make it because of prior commitments.

I'm more interested in watching the kids make the big leagues. Aaron Hill, Brandon League, Jesse Litsch, Adam Lind, and Ricky Romero have all played here in Manch Vegas on the way to the bigs.

3. No.
But a few stars were up in CT during their rehab stints. I just never went.

4. No, not specifically
I've been to plenty of minor league games, but not to see a rehabbing major-leaguer.

5. I went to a double AA game to see Ken Griffey Jr. play but this was before he was in the majors
But I figured there would be something special about Ken Griffey Jr and tried to see him play as many games possible whenever his team (Vermont Mariners) were in town (I lived near the Harrisburg Senators).

8. No, but once my friends and I were at a Richmond Braves game....
...and Sam Horn was playing. Sam Horn played a couple of seasons for the Baltimore Orioles and was notorious for either hitting the ball 500 feet, or more often, striking out.

My friends and I spent all the game shouting: "SAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM HOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNN!"

9. hell yeah---and going to see Manny Ramirez play for the Isotopes tomorrow
( lucky to have gotten tickets before they sold out)have also gone to see ex-stars still playing for the joy of it when their ML careers were done.Seeing Willie Horton and Luis Tiant playing for Portland here in Albuquerque was a real thrill, and the ballpark was sold out, with thousands more turned away the night Tiant pitched...But like other posters , I also just enjoy going to a ball game, and have been to ( just a wild guess) about 150 Triple A games here over the years.
