I just went and had a talk with the vet
He took some x-rays and there were some abnormalities.

His stomach has an overly thickened wall, and it's being pushed out of place by something.

The good news is that he's eating and pooping normally and not barfing anymore, so if everything is fine tomorrow, we can bring him home and then worry about what's causing all this later.

1. Get some more X-rays.
That "by something" killed one of our cats. Massive tumor (softball size) pinched off his colon and the exit from his bladder. By the time we figured out what the problem was, it was way too late. Get that critter back in NOW!

3. He's still at the vet
The Doctor told us we could do nothing, we could do an endoscopy, we could do a barium thing, or we could do exploratory surgery, and right now we're leaning towards the surgery. :(

The vet didn't sound like XOMG it's teh tumor but he didn't sound happy about the thickened stomach wall or the stomach being out of place either. :(

12. hmm that seems pretty young for cancer
For some reason I thought he was older than that, you just got another young dog didn't you?

I wonder what else it could be? - Off to bed with the merck vet manual!

13. Our dogs are 5, 3 1/2, and 1 1/2
The vet said it could be some freak congenital thing, but after reading horror stories on teh internets, we might just have to do exploratory surgery. :(
