Anyhow, I think John Paul Jones does it better and that's a Mandolin (I believe) on top. He uses that when he does songs like "Going to California"

5. God, I forgot about that...

Not that big of Cheap trick fan, but I remember that guitar. Wonder if his and Trey's were made by the same co. the funny thing is the talk of the tour is that Trey is playing another guitar on a couple of new songs. He is like Jerry a one guitar guy (a Languadoc) then he has anotehr one for some songs and this monster last night for Frankenstein!

I think it was making guitars for Rick Nielsen that pretty much launched Hamer Guitars as a company.

11. I do believe you are correct..........

They were a Chicago-based company and were pretty much doing limited production (8-10 guitars a week) until around the time Nielsen helped them out by using their axes. I don't believe he was the sole cause for their success, but he helped alot.

Unfortunately, they are now owned by Fender, who are supplementing their stock by importing lower-priced axes from overseas. G'bye quality.
