1. Every morning.

The cats (at least two, sometimes three) take over the bed and leave me either clinging to the edge or sleeping sideways.

Did you know a cat has the magical ability to assume the dimensions of a water buffalo when lying on your bed after dark?

I awaken trapped in one position, blankets and sheets firmly anchored to the bed on either side of me.

18. My cats will tag team me as I'm trying to call asleep. Once will come a cuddle, then they will

switch. But by morning it is always Monster who is spralled out across the bottom of my bed and my feet are stuck in one corner or the other. Even in my sleep I'm a pushover.

Having taken the whole thing off my legs and body. He;s very systematic about it - he'll 'curl' up with his backbone about halfway up the slope of the blanket as it goes over my body, then gradually work it so I move back and he's lying flat. Then he starts over again, taking the blanket a few inches at a time. If he works it just right, I will be on the very edge of the bed with no blankets and he will be in the geometric center of both the bed and the blanket.
