What's this teenager up to?

Okay, so the past five nights the teenage girl in the family has gone out after dark and stayed out 'til nearly midnight. One reason or another -- a friend is house sitting and afraid to be alone, another night she wants to return the rented movies to the store about 1/4 mile away, another night she goes out for late-night dessert with a friend, another night she says she's going to the all-ages gay club....

There's just the inkling that something's going on; something else. Plus she fibbed about several evening unsupervised swim parties a couple of weeks ago.

Tonight I happened to see her put a large match box in her purse prior to leaving. One of those large cardboard boxes with the strike panels on the sides. I was in a room; she was in the hallway.

Now, I know she's not smoking. And no camp fires would be allowed in the city parks.

So what could be going on?
