I forgot how to hide threads!!!!!

1. Little grey box with an X in it next to the threads.

I've never hidden a thread.

Why would a thread get hidden?

6. I discovered it by clicking on it accidentally. :)

On the main page, in this case the main Lounge page, every thread has a tiny little grey box after the subject of the thread. Easy to miss if you don't know to look for it.

And it works! (I just tested it.)

Now, if you can, tell me why I'd hide a thread. I'm missing something very obvious, I suspect, but that's a particular gift of mine.

9. Same reason you'd put someone on ignore, I s'pose.

If you know it'll just annoy you. Or if you know it'll tempt you to respond in a way that wouldn't be prudent. :)

11. Yeah, I've never used my ignore list

and the only times I've hidden threads are when I accidentally click on the little grey box. I think that's happened three or four times now. :)

12. Oh, crap! I didn't know that!

I've always clicked on the thread, then looked for "Hide Thread." Saves me a step! Lots of threads getting kicked up from earlier in the week.
