When in the lounge, do you feel like you are watching a car wreck??

You don't really know who is in the wreck, and it isn't terribly fun to watch, but you just can't take your eyes off of it.

I feel like that a lot lately.

I'd also offer that if you look at the reply/view ratios of...some threads from time to time, there's a lot of folks that can't take their eyes off of it.

A car wreck is something I sort of understand, so if I were to see one I could imagine how it happened. Lounge wrecks are more like incomprehensible collisions of garbage scows and alien spacecraft, or an explosion of a hazardous waste dump caused by a Wookie carelessly trying to roast an Orc over a Rigelian plasma generator.

You watch in horrified fascination but you have no idea what just happened.

35. Usually by the time I happen on the scene,

there's nothing left there but that yellow police line tape strung all over the place and a few chalk body outlines on the sidewalk. I always miss out on the drama.

But maybe that's just as well.
