For those who care and remeber way back when......
I had an allergic reaction to deoderant about a year and a half ago. I almost died. I couldn't use make-up, hair product, cremes, deoderants.......I couldn't use anything or horried rashes abound. I have pics, but I doubt you wnat to see them.

Anyway, the last week or so I've been a human guiena pig, testing products and such. I have now found a hair product I can use _ Frizz Ease, to make the most of my curls. I can wear Neutrageana eye liner, and cover girl mascara. I can use almost anything from the proactive line, which is where I get my skin care, sunblock, moisturizers, and now....Make up!

I have also found two deoderants that I can wear. Tom from Maine and Jason's Natural. They are natural, organic, unscented, and contain no metals. I don't smell anymore.

Let us do the happy dance.

3. My dear Rising Phoenix...
I remember when you were going through all that, and I was horrified for you...

I'm so happy that you were able to persist, and find products that won't make you sick, or worse!

And that painting is marvelous!

8. I don't remember you posting about that, but I am curious as to what happened.
Did you ever find out what was causing the misery?

Sounds terrible, but I am glad you found products that will work.

The art is cool, too!

11. Thanks
The misery was never really solved. I switched to Degree Clinical Strength and broke out it a horrible rash all over. At the time I was also on Nutrisystem and a new psych med. The rash was almost like chemical burns all over my skin and I was psychotic. They could never narrow down the one cause. I stopped the nutirsystem, changed meds, and changed deoderants. Every deoderant I used broght the rash right back. it was hell. They treated me with prednisone which of course made the psychoisi worse and the doc wrote the perscription wrong. 10 days at 60 mg then stop. No tapering at all. That alone could have killed me. Luckily it ws caught. But the prednisone did nothing. I plan to marry House so he can figure out this maze I call my body. lol

17. Wow. I've never seen a painting that actually made me feel itchy.
Your expressiveness hit the nail on the proverbial head. Uncomfortable (but that's it's honesty) and really awesome.

It reminds me of a painting I did - in part because it was a pure reaction/expression of pain, and partly because of your use of circles - which I used too (just a little differently). : )

My painting came out of the severe pain of losing custody of my daughters. That'll kill you too...

Artwork isn't always puppies and rainbows... nor should it be. Excellent job. Seems to have been cathartic for you, too. : )
