I own my own business, and I'm one of the lucky ones. We are going crazy with business right now because of the recession. So, I still have to handle that.

But this new job is in my chosen field: science! I got hired by a company to do my research!

What does your user name mean? I always try to figure it out, and draw a blank.

6. It is a protein. An apo-protein, in fact.

Apo means that it normally carries something else on it. In this case, zinc and copper ions. In that case, it is called metallothionein, and without the ions, it is called thionein. Very simple.

It is a protein that I studied for CF, and one that stumped me and enthralled me for two years, while trying to figure out it's place in that disease. I knew that it had great significance, but it took me two damned years to figure out what it was.
