So long as you have English, Scottish, or Irish commentators.

American announcers are usually not that good, but they are getting better, now that you're seeing the first generation of MLS retirees going into broadcasting.

22. American football. I don't really watch much of anything else.
I follow baseball to see how the teams are doing, but seldom watch an entire game.

Football, I love the games, have little use for the garbage before or after, and can't stand the NFL Network airheads.
Football is the ONLY program on Fox that I will watch.

30. In the park...baseball. On TV...football.
Baseball is slo-mo poetry. Hours of tedium punctuated by miracles. (The homerun, the double play, the hard line drive, the hundred mile an hour pitch.)
Football is so complicated that I can't possibly figure out what's going on unless there's a full fledged tv crew spotting the important moves, blocks, etc.
I also love to have a baseball game on the radio as background music.

In all honesty, though, I'm likely to devote the most attention to the sports where my preferred teams are the most competitive and/or entertaining. I'm a Cavaliers and Red Wings fan, so I'm most interested in the NBA and NHL at the moment.

46. Golf
Fascinating mental struggle. The time between shots allows so much room for weighing variables. And every shot is a carryover from a similar situation earlier in the round or earlier in the tournament.

Also, it's probably the highest caliber of play of any sport, if that could be quantified. It's surreal how good the top pros are.
