Can you go to Starbucks without making jokes about politcal affiliation?

Seemingly, I can't.

If I go with someone who's really progressive, I joke about how we're being bad progressives. Seriously....I have a friend who's back in town after being abroad for 18 months, and I was like "Okay, we need to hang out. Wanna be bad progressives and Starbucks it up?"

If I'm hanging out with someone more centre-left, I joke about being a pretentious latte liberal.

I don't hang out with many conservatives, but if I did, I'd probably say I was bringing them to the dark side.

3. The only "cool" Starbuckses that I know are in old sections of towns.

Like if a town has a revitalized "old Town" area and there is a Starbucks in that district. Otherwise, you might as well be drinking coffee at an Exxon station as far as atmosphere.
