1. When I am sick, I often convince myself internal application of alcohol is the cure
still when it comes to the flu anti-virals work better.

3. I remember once in college I went to the campus
doctor for a bad cold and he actually said that drinking beer would provide me with the extra fluids I needed. :eyes:

8. University of Oregon.
I don't know if it's considered a party school but it certainly qualified as one, back then anyway.

6. No
And the alcohol will dehydrate you and make you feel worse. You need lots of fluids--

7. I didn't think so.
I don't really have any wine, anyway. I'm drinking "the champagne of teas" (as this brand claims), a white tea. The heat feels good!

9. TZ is right. Any alcohol or caffiene will actually make you feel worse,
if that is possible. Take LOTS of clear liquids, take some light oods if you can tollerate it, take some antiviral meds and stay laying down for a while.

God, I feel queasey just thinking about it....

Good luck - please let us know how you are doing from time to time.

than makes you feel much worse

12. They do say red wine kills viruses.
I'm sure I read that somewhere;-)

My favorite sick cure though, is whiskey with lemon and sugar (or honey).

20. No alcohol. (You already know this...) No caffeine. (Stay away from the tea.)
Drink water, or an electrolyte-balancing drink. Take an anti-inflammatory if you have a fever. Acetominophen is best, but read the dosing instructions carefully. Get plenty of rest. That's it. Follow up in three days. Have a nice day. :-)

Get better soon, sweetie... :hug::loveya:

it shows them a damn good time.
