Why do movies and television shows have such a difficult time getting down realistic newscasts?

Why do movies and television shows have such a difficult time getting down realistic newscasts?
It doesn't matter how high budget the film is, if there is a cutaway to a news story, it just does not look realistic. I've seen a million local newscasts from areas all around this country and they're all pretty much the same. But in TV & movies, they just don't feel real.

I know I shouldn't get bugged by this, but I can't help it...I'm a freak.
