2. I was just looking at the weatherbug
For some reason, I haven't switched it from its current location (Houstopolis). It says 102 in RED.

I don't miss it - sorry you're stuck with it.

7. Yep. 16 hours of thunderstorms between Weds. night and Thursday afternoon,
It was pretty scary. Luckily, we just lost power at our house & didn't have any uprooted trees or damage.

9. I like a good thunderstorm but not that long.
I think there is a weather cap keeping the rain from moving down here.

Glad y'all are OK.

No power in this heat isn't good.

10. We are getting into killing weather.
People without ac will die in this heat.

This heat is not making be feel better about hurricanes.

The gulf will be heating up, the Galveston area can't take another hit.

The area hasn't recovered from Ike.

13. I wish there was.
Galveston is limping along right now.

People don't have the money to go on vacation now, Galveston needs that money.

I am going to start buying extra gas for the generators now, we have several 5 gallon plastic cans.

If we don't have a storm we can use it in the cars.

Gas was really hard to find after Ike.

Stations had gas but now power, or power with no gas.

What I don't want is a August hurricane, September is a little cooler.

22. That's how I am
Edited on Sun Jun-14-09 06:57 PM by mvd
Summer is my least favorite season. If I could, I'd have it 60-75 for 3 quarters of the year, with winter one quarter so I could see my snow.

24. Winter is nice
I could live without snow....I HATE driving in it. It's pretty around Christmas and when I don't have to go anywhere.

I like the fall. Nothing like a cool fall day.

Snow is really pretty IMO and still has some of the magic I felt when I was little. Agree about how nice fall is.

23. It is hell without power this time of year.
I just bought a battery powered fan, 10', suppose to run 72 hours on 8 D batteries.

I found this website www.batterysavers.com.

I bought digital handheld tv and a latern, getting ready.

That is one cool website.

Did the storm get you.

27. I'm north of you in East Texas.
It's hot here too.

The nights have not been cooling down, so we are in to the worst of summer, which will last through the end of October, at least.

It's brutal. I refuse to be hot and uncomfy any more.

Now for a cold beer.
