I lived in CT for 20 years, in the western part. People down here have no clue what connecticut is (other than a suburb of Rhode Island and New York.) :grr:

That is one I have never heard. Although I must say it is rather unusual to have a state without a major city. I feel wistful when I watch movies from the 1940s when Hartford was actually *somewhere*. Sigh. But I do love the state. Rhode Island does have the good beaches though.

Apart from Baltimore what I know about Maryland pretty much comes from John Barth (The Sot Weed factor) and I forget most of that. But there is a bit of doggerel verse in the book where the rhyme scheme compels one to pronounce the name MARE-eeeee-land and whose metric scheme is still thumping around in my brain. I just looked and can't find my copy of that novel or I'd be reproducing it here to drive you mad. Just as well. Not at all what you need. Stick with those nice brews.
