I am, to paraphrase John Kenneth Galbraith, struck by the usefulness of political science primarily as a source of employment for political scientists.
I can say with all certainty that those classes helped not a bit in getting my current government job. I'm totally convinced it was my time spent volunteering for Democratic campaigns during college that got me my first political job which led to where I am now.
2. This is a graduate seminar in Political Women in American Democracy
My wife is working on he thesis on Federalism and has several adjunct gigs lined up for the fall. We decided to go back to grad school together in History & Government. Her emphasis is govt., mine is history. She's already worked for the House of Reprenatives for 6 yrs. back during the Clinton era.
