To the three people who respond to my threads
What do you think about this song?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=br4cp1-HeB0

I found a leadsinger with kind of a Motown/Soul Syndicate thing going on. Do you think it's a good song? And would a female work well with the lead on this one? As for the band, we play it true to form as you hear here.

Thanks! FUCK YEAH!!!1

1. well
you already know that I like this sound. Yes, I think it is a good song and yes, I think a female lead would work.

You need a lead like the old band Tornado....

they hit the east coast circuit a very long time but you remind me of their sound...

2. A female lead on that would make me never want to leave her.
Definitely would work. Will the harmonizing be men or women? Three women would kick ass, but that's just my taste.

And yes, it's a great song to cover -- simple, catchy, soulful. Can't miss.

3. I like it and a female with a Motown/Soul Syndicate thing going on singing it would work just great.
Hope I didn't mess up your response quota.

5. I played it again last night
This time I did it on piano (which I suck at) and I think it'll work perfect with female vocals.

6. I like it.
It's got a reggae Jimmy buffet thing going on. I think a female voice would lighten it up, make it sexier.

8. Cool song--and I agree with the others above about a female singing it
Don't know if your band ever goes on the road, but let us ( OK, let me) know if you ever book a gig in Albuquerque or Santa Fe; I'll come see you guys play if I'm not gigging myself that night ( and things are pretty slow these days; not gigging much).
