I spent the past two days at the hospital... fun fun

Here's what happened -

Tuesday morning I woke up feeling very light headed and dizzy. I thought this was unusual, but brushed it off. My Mom called home at about 1 after she had court to check in on me - that Mom telepathy kicked in I guess. ;)

I told her about my feeling dizzy and light headed and the new symptoms I had gained over the past couple hours - my left leg was feeling very heavy and stiff and my left arm felt very heavy and had almost a burning sensation in it. my left neck, jaw, and eye all felt very tight and i felt like i was having trouble concentrating on things. she rushed home immediately and took me to the ER. she was freaked out by the fact that it was all on my left side. she also later told me that i was having trouble communicating. we went to the ER and after running a tests (and sticking me with way too many needles) they admitted me to the hospital overnight where they woke me up every two hours to do a neuro test.. so i didn't get any sleep, lol. they also did an MRI yesterday. after all the tests came out clear the doctor told me i could go home yesterday evening. they are setting me up with a neurologist to see if we can figure out what happened, but as the doctor said it very well may be one of those weird one-time things.

i'm feeling better, but even after 13 hours of uninterrupted sleep i'm tired, so i'm going back to bed. i probably won't be online for a few days so i wanted to check in with my DU buddies. :grouphug:

3. Sounds a bit like a stroke.

Unusual at your age. They do sometimes only do temporary damage.

I'm NOT a medical professional, so it could be thousands of other things I've never heard of.

14. it wasn't a stroke

they ruled that out early on. they aren't sure what it is, but were able to rule out things that it wasn't, lol.
