Seriously do doctors not understand the concept of a bladder infection??
No, I would prefer not waiting until tomorrow to deal with this. I just need to pee in a cup, do the dip test and give me my anti-biotics. UGH

1. Cranberry juice
Works great for me; in fact I hardly even get bladder infections anymore.

2. But other women do
who have ever had them. I remember feeling like I was going to pee my pants on the way to the bathroom from having to go so bad and only being able to squeeze out two drops that felt like razor blades and made the little black dots dance before your eyes as I fought to keep from passing out. You mean that kind of wait another day to pee in the cup bladder infection?

3. AZO
Have you tried AZO? It's an over-the-counter bladder infection pill. I've had good luck with it.

7. Yes!
Lynne - go to Rite Aid/Walgreen's and get these. They take the edge off until the doc gives you a scrip.

8. Azo is only the pain killer not bacteria killer
Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride is ingredient and it only kills the pain

4. Alka-seltzer tablets (dissolved in water) will help with the pain until MD will see you.
Also helps to force fluids--cranberry juice and water are good--as well.

Yes, some MD offices don't care. I found a new primary doc after I had a UTI one time
and couldn't get in to see the doc. This office is so good about getting you in
if you have an immediate need. It's worth looking around to find someone like that.

9. She got a hold of my doctor who said she (the doctor) would fit me in
thank goodness, there was blood and everything and she said in 2 days I would have had it in my kidneys.
