2. Ugh, I so can't stand "American Karoke" or those manufactured pop stars from Disney too.
I'm guessing in a few years you'll see Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers going thru their own personal Lindsay Lohan/Brittney Spears meltdown. I think it's way too much pressure on those kids to be so 'goody-two shoes' that they just go off the deep end.

3. I guess corporate America likes it this way
much easier to deal with than real music stars. This is the sort of scenerio that you would have expected to see in one of those nightmare future movies. Music is no longer about talent or passion or what excites the people. It's manufactored pablum for the masses.

5. They're giving the people what they want....
There is no shortage of great, inventive, organic man made and non manufactured music out there. And with the internet it's easier than ever to get access to. But people just would prefer to listen to what is handed to them with a built in back story and pre-packaged situation.

Independent music is more popular and lucrative than ever and whatever your favorite genre or style, it's out there for the taking. Most people just can't be bothered though and like every other area of entertainment just want escapism and just want it handed to them.

4. This sound guy we know told us that there is a way now to correct an off tune note of a singer
through the majic of electronics. That means we'll never be rid of Brittney.

There is creative and original music out there, the bulk of it isn't on commercial radio.
