Bizarre eating habits
Edited on Fri Mar-12-04 12:46 PM by Dees
Three come to mind.

1. Worked with a guy for six years and the ONLY thing I ever saw him eat were cheeseburgers with fries and a 7 Up.

2. A couple we were friends with would only eat breakfast cereal if the milk was in the bowl first. They would never pour milk over cereal. They stayed with us for a week and it never changed.

3. Another work associate of mine would fill his plate at a buffet or order a dinner and completely chop everything on his plate up in little pieces and mix everything into a goo.

edit..I just remembered another one. A friend of mine who ate every slice of pizza from the outside crust in.

One more. A work associate who put sugar on everything but meat. Vegetables, bread and butter, cottage cheese on and on.

1. I won't eat cereal if there is milk in it
Not that I eat cereal much anymore, but when I do it's dry. Don't get me wrong - I love milk, i just want the 2 products separately!

2. I saw a guy eating like a pig ... on a job interview!
And, I was interviewing him, not the other way around.

He ordered a big steak. Spent about 5 minutes slowly cutting it into very tiny pieces. Then, he bent his head down to the plate and, with a fork in one hand and a knife in the other, quickly scooped it directly into his mouth. Then, he ordered another steak.

He did not get the job.

7. Wow, I'm sure that's not the reason he didn't get the job.
I mean, really. That would be petty.

3. My g/f
has the most bizarre eating habits I know of. Not so much weird foods, as she refuses to eat things based on texture Oo

4. I know that one well.
My wife is texture sensitive you might say. Loves tapioca pudding but won't touch it because of the texture.

5. my paternal grandfather
would mix everything on his plate into one big pile. He'd chop up whatever he had to, but it'd all end up in a big pile. Then he'd eat it all.

And he'd never take a drink until he was done. As soon as his plate was clean, he'd drain his glass of iced tea, kick back, light up an unfiltered Camel, and wait for his coffee. Never changed his routine.

6. My father never would drink until food was gone too
I always thought that was strange.

Me - no sour cream. Food of the devil. I have many other food taboos.

And a former co-worker would go to Subway and get the lettuce on the side. He would take a bite of the sandwich, then grab some lettuce and shoved it in his mouth.

13. I'm tending towards this the older I get
the drinking, not the chopping.

Down to only a couple of sips w/ meal. Don't guzzle it, but does go down pretty fast.

8. I met a guy as a freshman in college
we were both mathematics majors, and spent quite a bit of time together - classes, studying, etc

anyway, every Sunday afternoon, he would make 10 cheeseburgers and freeze them.

Then every day at school, he would eat 2 cheeseburgers, an apple and a Pepsi

He would take out the cheeseburgers in the morning, put them in a briefcase, and my noon they would be thawed.

Every day for 4 years.

a good friend, but quite eccentric.

11. My ex-husband was just like a little kid
he would not eat any food that had touched any other food, nor would he eat anything like a stew or a casserole. I never could understand that; I mean, did he think his stomach had separate chambers for the different foods? He would eat all of one item on his plate, then all of the next, and so on. Strange guy. I've seen small children eat like that, but he was in his 40s!

19. Blue Food
I don't eat blue food. Ever. Nature did not make blue food, it's just not right. Used to be there wasn't much blue food, but it seems to be more popular now.
