Do I dress like a democrat or a republican?
Inspired by Magic Rat's poll (scary, eh?), I got to wondering if my wardrobe betrays my political views at a glance. I have no idea, as I don't often make left/right assignments to life's basics. So I'll tell you what I wear, and you tell me:

Working from home: Jeans, or sweats if I'm lazy. Shorts if weather is warm. T shirt or sweatshirt. Slip on loafers for shoes.

Gym night: Sweats or sweat shorts. Running shoes.

Going out to run errands: Jeans or shorts. Nice T shirt (not holy). Merrill hiking shoes.

Nice restaurant: Khakis or slacks. Dress shirt, or some kind of sweater. I have a pair of Bostonians that are very comfortable.

Going into office: Skacks, dress shirt, Bostonians.

Going to meeting or presentation with customers: Fucking suit and tie. I hate wearing a fucking suit and tie.

Working on the house: Holy jeans, Holy t-shirt, paint covered smock, 12 year old Reebocks.

Jacket for cold weather: Denim jacket, polar fleece coat, leather jacket (looks like a biker's), Australian Outback duster.

Many of my T-shirts are sans logo, but the logos I do have range from boring to clever: Pike's Place Market, Playa Del Sol (Mexico), Lava Lounge (Seattle), "Quit Your Job", "NYPD", "CIA", "This is my Haloween Costume", "Simon says: go fuck yourself (George Carlin)".

So, what's my boring ass wardrobe say about me? :D

1. I've met you
You dress like a beer-drinking, hockey-watching slob, which is why we look alike. I forgot you bought a Lava Lounge shirt, lol. You must have done that in between ogling svelte nose-ring hotties.

2. That's how I met the svelte hottie!
She was hitting on me when I was buying the T-shirt. :o I thought for a moment she was going to ask me to accompany her to her apartment nearby.

So, do most beer-drinking hockey-watching slobs vote Dem? I think they do.

5. they vote Dem
Although voting Dem won't get you out of ZenLeftyGirl's penalty box for nose-ring hottie ogling. :o

Yeah, I remember now! Which is pretty good considering how many beers you plied me with.

3. Your doubles dress the same way too.
Your re-training efforts must be working. I haven't seen your double lately. He must be doing better at concealment.

8. I told them to buy the "CIA" t-shirt
Whenever I wear that, people stare at me, but never make eye contact. Like, never.

4. It's not the question of how you dress...it's the question of how
often do you bathe? They seem to think we don't shower often. ;)

MrsGrumpy...sitting here in old flannel P.J.s and slip ons.

:hi:

9. O, I fucking love wearing a suit and tie
At least I wear Jerry Garcia ties almost exclusively. And the conservative tight-asses who see them give me plenty of compliments until they find out Garcia's name is on them.

10. Do you dress Left or Right?
Isn't that supposed to indicate political leanings?

12. Gee! You dress just like me...

except the suit. Sweats, shorts, t-shirts... I'd say your wardrobe says that you're a regular guy with a brain in his head. :-)

edited to add: and comfort on his mind!

14. Next on "Queer Eye for the Zen Guy"...
Well, well, what do we have here? Levi's '87, Levi's '88, Levi's '89... Shall we move on into the Nineties, then?

My goodness, Mr. Zen, you must really love that ski resort with the red mountaintop logo! Ooh, and look! Their shirts have bare feet on the shoulders! Kinky!
