I think it's about the same...I think a lot of people had some unrealistic expectations of having control of the Congress and WH. And are lashing out in frustration. Me? I'm really cynical about politics..plus I have enough grief in my life without getting worked up about things I ultimately have no control of.

I have no problem with people expecting their chosen leader to make due on the promises he made; but he did tell us, time and time again, that patience is key. It's only been 4 months. I guess that's why I'm so shocked at the anger in this place.

Actually, it was this way all the way back in the Usenet days. It's just on steroids now. I'd guess the actual proportion of assholes:sane people is the same, it's just that there are so many more people on the Intertubes that we run into more assholes.

And unfortunately they all seem to gravitate to DU and stir up shit. Which is why I mostly hide here. x(
