My clients here at work seem to have overdosed on both their crazy and stupid pills today. I've been screamed at 3 times already, and my day isn't half over yet.

I know the economy is bad and things are desperate, but I'm as empathetic as a liberal-activist judge to my clients. What gives?

3. Social services. Cash Aid (welfare). What makes things different...

is that I usually can deliver bad news to people in such a way that they don't get angry or take it out on me.

OTOH, our Governator spoke yesterday and outlined all the services that might be on the chopping block, so that may be getting people panicky.

The terminator gov. I was being very upset this morning because he wants to close down the state parks AGAIN. And he'd better not get rid of Healthy Families either. I'm sure people are very panicky now. Hang in there.

6. I can sympathize

I'm in the same field (different line of work, though-- I don't have to deal with people, just systems), and our governor is getting ready to cut off health care for 30,000+ people as of July 1, in what is called "unallotment". Of course, this governor of ours has presidential aspirations in 2012, so he's got to whip it out to prove what a big man he is to his potential right-wing donors. It's quite stressful right now.
