Been awhile since I was in the job market, but I did alot of hiring and know what grabbed my attention and what didn't.

2. There are plenty of very good software programs that will help you write
your resume. They aren't that expensive either.

4. Hmm. I wish I could remember what I used when I was job searching
the last couple of years. I wasn't having problems getting my resume noticed and I used software.....

10. I did. I bought all the books and programs and finally said to heck with it. I'm not a word guy
and I wanted a good job. It was like 150 bucks and I thought it was totally worth it as an investment in my future and all the time I lost by straining over it for ever. I've tweaked it a bit, but it was nice to have someone give me a boost.

11. My husband has been re-writing his quite often
The big thing now is making sure all of the keywords are included so that whatever software wordbots they are using will find you.

14. that's what's important to me, as well
i didn't mention earlier, but i'm also really looking for a *much* higher-paying job as well, and I want everything to be as tight and clean a possible...that's the real reason i'm thinking of going to the pros...
