4. that's a very good point
you start a thread and you leave only to come back later that day and it started a huge flamewar or people are ganging up on you. So you change what you wrote and deny starting a war.

7. Back in the olden days when I joined DU...
we couldn't edit our posts at all.

And it was a five mile walk up hill in the snow just to get to the internet.

Now that I'm an "elder" I have to say things like that.
