1. At least you don't have a windchill of 43 fucking degrees
Seriously, God, what the fuck, man? It's almost fucking Memorial Day.

2. Wow. That's cold for this time of year.
I'm so sick of the rain. In the last week, the foliage behind the house has gotten so lush that I can't see the street anymore. That usually doesn't happen until June or July.

On the plus side, the lawn looks great. LOL.

3. There's a low of 37 tonight
I mean, I will probably have to start up the pellet stove for that.

I'm tired of the rain, too. I hate it, it's so depressing.

We're trying to get a lawn to grow. Right now we have half lawn and half dirt patch.

5. Our backyard? We sodded at one point and it looked fantastic
for about an hour. Behind the fence on common property, it is really, really lush, so the lawn couldn't survive because no sun.

Now, most of the backyard is patio with a small area of flowers. Oh, and of course, the trampoline. :eyes:

12. I figure sod would be a waste of money we don't have
The dogs would pee all over it first time and turn it yellow.

Mick is still pissed at me, for not letting him pee on the new bushes. He tries everytime we go out, then he gives me dirty looks when I pull him away.

15. It was an utter waste of money. And, our backyard is small
so it wasn't that much, only a couple of hundred bucks.

It was so disheartening to watch it dry up and die.

4. And I got my microwave. WooHoo.
Mr. installed it yesterday along with a new ceiling fan. THe 'electrian' who installed the previous one installed it incorrectly, so it was arc-ing.

I'm just happy it didn't start a fire.

New Micro is very nice. Big, thankfully.

Know what I mostly use it for? Defosting. Because I never remember to take anything out of the freezer for dinner in the summer. In the winter I just toss stuff in the crockpot when I get up with the kids, but I don't use the crockpot in the summer.

Weird, I know, but it's like burning a winter Yankee Candle in the summer. Can't do it.

10. Why did you just tell yourself you bought a new microwave? Didn't you already know?
I'm not allowed to use the microwave for defrosting. LostinVA says it fucks with the texture of the food.

14. She's a nutbag. If I didn't use it to defost
we'd use it pop popcorn only.

18. Instead, she'll stick frozen chicken breasts in the oven to cook, and then...
complain it takes too long to cook.

Or, in the case of fish, it'll sit in the freezer, until it gets frost-bitten because we always forget to take it out to defrost.

6. We've needed it down here in Floriduh.
Usually doesn't arrive until the afternoon and it comes in torrents.

While surveying her now green lawn yesterday my elderly neighbor very loudly exclaimed "Isn't it great what six inches can do?"

Yes, yes it is. :-)

7. I wish it would rain here. Sigh.
We did get some storms the other night and an inch and a half of rain.

My plants were all singing their rain songs and the frogs were happy.

Wish I could send you some sunshine...

what the Hell?????

I was just telling my husband that the trees behind our house on common area are so lush already that I can't see the street or the neighbor's. Usually doesn't happen until June or July..

17. I've never seen it so green before
Which is much better than the yellow from the pollen on the few days that it hasn't rained in the last month. The green is actually very nice to look at, but the webbing between my toes has me a bit worried.

I never know whether to put on the a/c or the heat. Last night we just turned both off and left the fan running. I was COLD when I woke up so now I've turned everything off and put some socks on... LOL!

19. LOL. I am short one slipper and I blame the puppy.
She tends to play with them and then run outside with them. :eyes:

And, these are the greatest slippers known to man. Costco - $9.99. Shaped like birkenstocks with fake fur inside. Hard soled.

Teh awesome. Of course, now I'll have to wait until winter to get another pair. IF they will even have them again.

23. That's not exactly breaking news in the city of Seattle
where our Rain Festival lasts from January 1 to December 31st, and the big annual Labor Day event in town pays homage to the umbrella.
