I lived in NH for 10 years - Shaw's is a great store!

15. I used to as well, even though a DeMoula's was built just down the street from me.
I live within walking distance of a Giant now and have rarely set foot in the place - too expensive and they have one of those stupid bonus card things, but the advertised "bonus buys" are STILL higher priced than the family-owned chain I shop at. So I drive four or five miles to get to one of the Karn's stores. Karn's also goes out of its way to get the most local produce they can find. Giant has massive contracts with big agribusiness distribution companies so small farmers can't get in the door - which is also why their produce sucks. I hope Shaw's is still doing that. I always loved their produce section.
