God damn, this place is dangerous
Yet ANOTHER Saturday morning with the sun in the sky, and me STILL in the fucking pub ordering another gin and tonic. I keep meaning to set my phone alarm for two AM and then treating it religiously as "Time to go home" but fucking hell it's hard. I see now why closing time is actually an important thing to have in society.

2. Dude, at six am no one is dancing.
We're all sitting there trying to forget the sun is out and our mothers would be ashamed of us.

No hours are great.

We had a place that closed an hour a day to sweep. Nothing but fun... or trouble ;)

You should hang out with them. They don't need "closing time", because they're much more intelligent than we are.

20. I doubt it
They really don't give a shit what some foreigner thinks of the bar scene in San Li ton. When I first arrived I was all paranoid about that shit.... then I got some sense into me. There's 1.3 billion people here, you know the kind of man power it would take to monitor all of us?

People talk about issues all over the place and aren't hauled off. The only thing is if they are starting a movement or something, that's when the bullshit begins.

24. While 1.3 billion take a lot of people to monitor, such a number of people is easy to find in a...
country with 1.3 billion people.

25. The problem with a country of 1.3 billion is
that, even if you are a one in a million kind of guy, there's still 1,299 other guys just like you in the country. :(

23. Sounds awesome, but be careful. There have to be people ready to roll drunks at 6 AM
Edited on Sun May-17-09 11:49 AM by JVS
I've always considered the 2 AM migration as a safety in numbers kind of thing. If you have drunks dribbling out all morning, they'll be easy targets.

27. 2:am? The bars here don't close till we leave, often it's daylight!
I've not heard of anyone getting robbed here.... but there are often fights in the bar district, and the cops don't give a FUCK if it's two foreigners scrapping, so I stay away from certain places. My buddy saw a guy get shitkicked by fifteen people and then stabbed in the head with a broken bottle. Naturally, after the dust cleared my buddy helped him, but the guy refused to go to the hospital even though he was bleeding everywhere.... and when my friend was helping him to the ambulance the guy says, "Are you hitting on me?" Which leads us to believe he maybe received a WELL deserved ass kicking.

Worst part was my buddy had to walk all the way home cause the subway wasn't running and no cab would pick him up cause he was covered in blood.
