I am a very happy woman re: employment.

First, hear me when I say that I am happy -- grateful -- just to be employed.

I've just learned that my position as secretary for a serious rainmaker - which position I have occupied for six months already - has been made official.

Why does this make me happy? Well, there's no little prestige attached, for one. For another, I no longer have to worry about usurpers (although there really were none).

But mostly, it makes me happy to know that everyone is happy with my work and trusts me to carry the burden.
