My uncle lost his wife of 68 years
a few days ago. She was my dad's little sister and his high school sweetheart. She died only a few days after being diagnosed with cancer. Say hi to dad for me Aunt P.

3. I'm sorry for your loss
May she rest in peace, and may your uncle be comforted by the memories of his amazingly long marriage.

4. Amazingly long and happy.
He was in WW2 and his ship was sunk in the Pacific but he survived 16 hours in the ocean. They never took each other for granted.

5. So sorry for your loss
and how lonely your uncle is feeling right now. I hope that someone will be looking after him, just to make sure that he eats, and locks the doors, and pays his bills.

I wonder if they'd diagnosed her cancer earlier... Well, it doesn't matter now. I'm sorry for your loss.

14. She was a breast cancer survivor
and she died of liver cancer. My uncle survived his ship going down in the Pacific during WWII - he was in the ocean for 16 hours. As retirees with a mobile home and a camper they vacationed all over the western half of the US. She was 86. Her death is very sad, but she was a lucky lady who enjoyed life. Their companionship for so many years was a wonderful thing.
