I just learned that my brother's death might have saved someone else's life.
Randomly enough, we (my husband and I) moved away from our hometown. This guy that was with my brother the night of his car wreck now works for my husband. Small world. We are over 2 hours away from where we grew up. He didn't know my husband from Adam. Now he works for him. They realized they were both from the same small town and started talking about people they knew. My brother came up in the conversation. Anyway, he was with my brother the night of the car wreck and was supposed to be with him when he wrecked. He just dropped him off. My brother tried to talk him into going wherever he was going. He declined. He said that changed his life. He was bad off on drugs. Meth, crack, etc. (my brother wasn't, but he was an alcoholic--BAD). That woke him up. He turned his life around. Now he doesn't even drink. I am glad to know that some positives came from that terrible terrible night.

2. I am so glad that
you've found some good coming from what must be a painful wound in your heart.

5. Yep. Me too!
I keep finding out more details of his death as the years pass. I never knew that he wasn't "supposed" to be alone.

6. I am so thankful his tragedy straightened someone else's life out.
Sometimes it takes something like that for someone to hit rock bottom. I am glad this guy is on the right path now.
