Some random musings about moving TM out of the dorm Saturday.
1. If you need to rent a UHaul to put on the back of the Suburban, your kid has too much stuff. Jettison half of it on the highway on the trip back home. You'll thank me in September.

2. Hotel type trolleys are designed to be filled up. They are not designed to hold three items so that you, yeah, I'm talking to you there red haired Afro dude with the Grover Tee-shirt, can keep it for the better part of an hour while you make six trips.

Oh, and yeah. Sorry I called you a douchebag under my breath and Mommykins heard it. That was unfortunate. She really needs to learn more about personal space.

3. Just because you CAN buy the big ass SUV doesn't mean you should. Especially if you can't drive the fucker or park it any better so that when I am attempting to leave it's like threading a friggin' needle to get out of my space. Think Global. Go smaller.

4. I seriously wonder, present company excluded of course, how some of these knuckle dragging, tobacco chewing, parents ever managed to conceive a child who has an IQ in double digits. It was sad.

That's all.

3. A U-Haul? Seriously?
How in the world is a dorm room big enough for one of the occupants to need a U-Haul?

7. By my senior year ('90-'91), I knew a few kids who needed U-Hauls
but not too many of them. I lived in a house by then, and I still got all my crap moved in two carloads, including my bed. And I had a lot of stuff.

Kids have way too much crap these days.

8. Dorm apartments.
We had these on campus..You have bedroom, common living area and kitchen. I can see some people needing Uhauls for those type places.

14. I can understand this for apartments
but for the standard freshman dorm room, I don't see how it's possible to shove in that much stuff.

9. Midlo, honey, you should have asked me
You need one of these:

http://www.toolsdirect.com/index.cfm?page=product:mediaGallery&uniqueId=257130

They're about $50-60 and even if it sits in your garage the rest of the year, it is a lifesaver on dorm moving day.

18. U-Haul?
Back when I was in school I had to build my house out of sticks every night. Then come back from 10 hours of classes and find that a tornado had gone through the camp again.

19. Attached to a Suburban. You cannot make this up.
The rooms in this dorm are pretty large, but not that large.

22. Well, hopefully Douchebag Family Robinson took a cliff turn too fast
had the U-Haul swing out from behind them and fling them off the side backwards.
