Just started Facebooking, and found a lot of old friends from my childhood and teens.

Now I remember why I left Mississippi as soon as I could! I mean, I love the state, and I love my friends, but I seem to be the only liberal or atheist--make that the only non-conservative and non-religionist--I grew up with.

5. Creepy isn't it? I have to keep ignoring friend requests from high school.

I had nothing to do with them back then, what makes them think I would want to now? Especially since my profile says I'm extremely liberal politically and religiously.

7. jc, just today, I received a mailer from my HS - they have a website and a facebook

group thing, and I have my very own password and I am invited to share pictures and information about my life and family with people I have not seen since 1965, and do not care to see again. I hated high school, still do, expect I always will. I have never answered any correspondence from my old school, and only gave them my address because I needed a transcript for a job app 10 years ago. My wife says I should send them a letter telling them to fuck off, but I just throw their crap away, and enjoy the fact that is costs them money and effort to send it to me. They are a minor irritant but now a computerized one.

8. I went to 5th and 6th grade in the middle of the Aleutian Islands and

I have found four of my classmates from my school, there.

I have hooked up with so many old friends through FB -- it has been a lot of fun.
