If I don't feel I have the skills to be a good moderator is it better that I just
not try. I mean I skim over posts and all. I just wouldn't do a good job. I have conduction aphasia so I wouldn't do well on a conference call to start off with. I'm better off just forgetting about it right. My smarts are in figuring out patterns of manipulation in politics. Even though I have such a high number of posts I'll donate more than I can afford this summer and leave it at that. Any thoughts?
1. You've seen the Mod criteria. Does it suit you?
Can you adhere to the rules asked by Admin? If so, consider being a Mod. It's obviously not for everyone, but if you want to do it and can do it, it's probably worth putting in an application.

better off going with a gut feeling. I have enough to deal with right now. I think I'll not fill out the application. Maybe in the fall if things calm down for me.
I think that it's great that you even considered it, and may consider it in the future. I'm a problem child here at times, but I have a lot of respect for the mods and admin. Pay and appreciation are in very short order for the lot of them.
