Feeling very lucky this morning.

Last night a tornado touched down in my neighborhood. It damaged the apartment complex two blocks west of my house, and the park one block east.

It apparently skipped right over the houses on my block. My wife and I had gathered up the cats and were in the basement when it passed over. We have tree limbs and trash scattered all over the street (it's trash pickup day and everyone had their trash at the curb) but no damage.

I think I'll pick up some tickets for tonight's Powerball drawing

POWERBALL is 240,000,000! If I won, could donate the whole amount to Dean's campaign and it'd really be in the bag then. I'd seriously consider it, if it weren't for the fact that we're so damn poor we can't afford groceries or the car insurance bill.

My wife drove to Kentucky last night just to get two lottery tickets. Yeah, we're desperate.
