VERIZON IS DEAD WOOHOO!!!!
All gone - buh-bye!

I gave you too many chances and each time you'd fail me time and time again.

You are gone - gone baby gone.

You have horrible customer services - I could probably ask for help from the guy waiting in line at the Methadone clinic across the street and his answer would be more coherent and timely.

Sure that means I'm stuck with Comcast, which isn't much better but they are at least a bit better.

So my final words to Verizon (actually on the phone my final words were "Thank god I'm rid of this retched, horrible service) is this:

1. What did you have with them?
I have Verizon cell phone & internet service and don't really have any issues with them.

Then again, I haven't had to call customer service yet...

2. Pray to the dieties you never do have to call customer service
I had phone & internet. My phone line was crossed with my neighbor's line. Since she didn't have DSL - everytime she got a phone call I'd lose my DSL connection. I could pick up my phone and hear my neighbor talk.

The folks on the phone said they could fix it but needed to come into my house to correct the issue.

Twice I scheduled appointments and twice they came the day before when I was at work and unable to open the door to let anyone in. The 2nd time they checked a neighbor's house (wrong one - I knew whose voice it was and they never stopped at her house).

So I'm paying an extra $11/month just to keep verizon out of my life.

6. Weird. That situation with your neighbor is messed up.
They should have gone the extra mile to fix it.

12. I know the feeling.
My Verizon land line stopped working entirely. No tone whatsoever. Called cust service and all I got was an automated response line on how I could fix it myself.

13. I am very happy with Verizon wireless. My service rocks, their customer service has been exceptional
I've had 'em for over 6 years now. Can't think of anything that would make me change.

5. Must be a regional thing.
I've had very good service from Verizon and my DSL is quite reliable. It has had a few hickups over the years (I was one of the first DSL customers in the area), but they've been resolved in a reasonable amount of time and I've always gotten through to humans who speak English.

But Comcast has its own dragons.

7. I had Verizon in SD, and didn't have any real issues with them...
...but then again, that was only for Cellular Service. I had Cox for internet/cable/land-line. No real issues with either of them.

8. I tried to upgrade my service with Verizon this week.
I was ready and willing to pay large sums of money to stimulate the economy to upgrade my service AND purchase new phones. Dude told me "No way! You can't buy or change anything until December." I was speechless. What company would turn down MONEY?

9. Welcome to your cap!
We don't have Verizon or Comcast here - instead we have AT&T and Time Warner.

AT&T - well they spy on you.
Time Warner - overpriced. Plus they want to pull some shenanigans like give us broadband users a 10GB monthly download cap, pay $1/GB on top of that. Those kind of shenanigans almost made me cancel them and go to AT&T. But TWC stated they are "suspending" those plans and going to work on an "education campaign".

However if Verizon Fios comes into your area it might be worth it - to cope up with their crappy customer service over a better product than Comcast's offering.

Alternatively, move to Wilson, NC and subscribe to the municipal cable system. They're faster & cheaper than Time Warner.

Mark.

11. I'm not worried so much about speed as I am connection
I stuck with Verizon DSL for years because I was only paying $18/month for it. I'm not splitting the atom over the internet - just some surfing & gaming. But I would also work from home and getting disconnected totally sucked. So I'm paying the extra $11/month for comcast.

10. I wish I could upgrade from Verizon DSL
but, since I'm out in the boonies, all other options are too expensive. :P

I haven't had a big problem w/ Verizon, but just want to change to something easier and with less cables and such. :P

Hope you have better luck with Comcast.
