And rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for a yacht--to quote someone back in the 1930s. I'm not sure who said it.

I can drink to that. I was getting the stink-eye the other day for wearing my Sox hat walking around East Flatbush. I love being a Sox fan in NYC. For some reason also, there are a lot of Habs fans among the Caribbean immigrants (at least those who are hockey fans) of that part of Brooklyn. It might have something to do with the large French-speaking population. It's been a bad week for them. Cricket season is going badly for the various West Indian teams, the Yanks suck and the Habs are out of the playoffs.

I know...you're a Bruins fan and I'm a Canes (who should rightly still be the Whale) fan but at-least we can share a mutual hate of Les Habitants.

Then I ususally pull for Original Six teams, and then for any Canadian team still in it.

just because I can't remember the last time they won a Cup.
