So, DU? What's for dinnah?
In my best Bi_Baby Bahston impersonation.

We're having Midlo's famous chicken.

Chicken breasts dredged in flour and then bread crumbs.
Saute with garlic in oil until brown.
Toss in a can of crushed tomatoes.
Let simmer forevah, or until you're ready.
Chop some fresh basil (from the awesomely awesome Aerogarden,)
Serve over linguine with tons of feta.

Could not be easier and everyone loves it.

So, folks, what's on the menu this fine Monday evening?

6. My dear Midlo!
Ooh, that sounds yummy!

I'm not sure just yet, since it's only 2:45 PM here...

But I have a delectable piece of filet mignon that I will do "something" with...

I have a great recipe where I make gravy with onions, and then add the chopped meat...We eat it over rice with a vegetable of some sort...

It's a family favorite!

:hi:

11. Best part? Once the chicken is browned it's essentially cooked,
so when you toss in the tomatoes and turn the heat down, it can sit there for quite a while. Actually, the longer it sits the better it is because the chicken literally falls apart.

22. Chicken parmesan, but no bread crumbs.
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 05:31 PM by AllieB
I can't do wheat, so I dip the chicken in egg and dredge in a parm/romano/asiago blend and herbs. I let it set in the fridge for a few hours and then fry in some peanut oil until slightly brown on both sides. Then I bake it in the oven with a little Trader Joe's Three Cheese Tomato Sauce and some grated Asiago. Yes-we love cheese! :P I serve it over spaghetti squash with a side salad and asparagus.

23. You'll have to name it

I soaked a bag of kidneys.

In processer I put a jar of picante sauce, 2 onions, 4-5 cloves of garlic, whole thyme and cumin, a can of tomato paste, and.. and.. water I think.

Chopped the hell out of it.

I simmered it after in a big pot. Salt and pepper.

Chopped the p-mortal hell out of the kidney beans added a bit of chili powder and tobasco..no.. some carribean hot sauce.

Added to tomatoey stuffs.. kept simmer

Drank a beer

Weeded garden spots and flower beds 'cause I'm following almanac religiously this year

Drank a beer

Ran an extension cord and used my hand-held blender stick thingy to mutilate any bean chunks left. Irks me there are no plug ins near stove...

Tastes yummy. I'll simmer some more than I'll *ducks* pour over chunks of Velveeta.
