18. Right after my son was born, I had horrific headaches during orgasm.

I had a c-section, and we waited for three weeks--probably should have waited longer, but we're a same-sex female couple, so there didn't have to be any penetration. We thought we'd be "safe." I will never forget the horrific, head-splitting pain that came just as I crossed the "inevitability line" in the few seconds before an orgasm, and stayed for about ten minutes or so afterward.

The orgasm-induced headache lasted for about two weeks, and then went away. I never did figure out what the hell was behind it, as I was too embarrassed to mention it to my doctor. We kept right on having sex in spite of the headache, though--I figured that if it was going to kill me, it would have the first time. Eventually it went away and all was well.

And to think that cluster headaches are a whole order of magnitude beyond that. Lovely! I hope I never draw that short straw...
