My elderly kitty was out all night last night
She will dart outside sometimes and I won't even know she is gone. She likes to sleep in nook and crannies so it's not unusual to not see her for hours at a time in the house.

6AM and she was crying into the dryer vent above my bed. (smart kitty) I went outside to one side of the house and called her, but she is deaf and didn't hear me. So I walked all the way around to the other side of the house and she moved to where I was orginally calling her. Finally I just waved my arms until she caught a glimpse and came trotting up the path and back into the house.

Wish she wouldn't do that, it still gets very cold around here at night!

1. Poor kitty
:(
I try to keep my kitty in as much as possible. If he's not inside, he is in the garage on a pile of blankets.

5. I am glad there is a happy ending too
Barney, my other cat will sneak out and spend the night outdoors. Not only is it cold, but we have foxes around here.

6. I would have been worried sick!
She's very elderly, right? In her 20s?
I would have been up all night waiting for her.

9. She's 24
She is on her last legs. She is very frail..but she sleeps all day, eats and drinks and uses the litterbox all without a problem. So I just let her be!Even catnip doesn't get her excited anymore.

14. Sweet! Of course one of mine is a wee bit sick, having a thryroid condition but
so far so good. As long as he is on his meds he is as healthy as his sister.

12. One of my cats is about 20, give or take a year.
He is the last of the line of my first black cat.

I can trace him back to his Great, Great, Great whatever mother.

He gets around ok, but is missing his upper teeth.

He likes to lay outside in the sun and sleep by heater in the winter.

He is a sweet old cat.

He raised two groups of kittens for me, everything but feeding them.

He is a special cat.

Glad your kitty is all right.
