A Question about posting etiquette
If you post a thread at noon, and don't get a chance to look at it again until 4 or five hours later when it's dropped to the third page or so, should you respond to some of the posters or just digest the responses and let it go?

1. respond
a lot of people may not have seen the thread ever and will probably rejoin the discussion if you kick it to the top with your responses.

2. I vote for responding,
especially if someone asked a question.

3. Only post here if you have no other meaning in your life.
Really. It's addictive and bad for you :p

4. I think you should do as you please
If it's worth it to you to respond then do it. If it isn't then don't.

5. It's your thread
keep it going as long as you like. It's a bit annoying when people kick them without adding content, but actually answering people in your own thread is fine.

6. Post
I have seen people start posts and say they will come back later to respond. If it has been a long time and someone had said something really pertinent, you can even send a private message to let them know you replied

7. Reply
regardless of when you come back. Eventhough it may one seem like it, others are still waiting to hear from you!

8. Thanks everyone!
That does help. I didn't want to kick up a thread that was long since gone, but there were some interesting responses.
The private message idea was helpful, too.
