Has anyone here ever owned a Color Computer 3?
Did you have the Disk Drive, or did you just have to program in BASIC everything you wanted?

1. Hell yes!
I had a CoCo2 and CoCo3. First, I had to program everything in BASIC every time I turned the computer on. Then I got the tape recorder to save my programs on. Later on I did get the disk drive. It was cool, but hard to find programs for it.

6. I did.
Color Baseball is still an all time favorite. GFL Football also. I'm sure I had more ROMs but I can't remember just now.

On disk I had two games I would like to have back:

Sub Battle Simulator and Microscopic Mission.

4. Had a CoCo 2
Was given the disk drive as a gift later, but only saved my own programs on it anyway. I think I bought some silly database program for it because it was on sale, but never used it.
I wrote my own (fairly primitive) text processing program on the thing, then went on and used it to write some papers for school. Also did the first version of an astronomy "planet finder" program that I've rewritten for every platform I've owned since. It's been fun!

7. Color Computer? You had a Color Computer?
Well, when I was a kid, we were so poor...mmmm....nevermind...

My first computer was a TRS-80 Model 1. 4kRAM, cassette drive, b/w monitor with pixels the size of grains of rice...
