Unfortunately, it was also the year of Altamont and the Manson murders, but don't hold that against us.

Whenever people talk about it they bring up Woodstock...or even the New York Mets and Jets...

I always bring up a guy who landed a tin can on the moon with 25 seconds of fuel left...got out...walked around with his partner and came back home..... Alive !

Here's to you Neil Armstrong !...Yeh I'm a wacky left winger, but in 1969 you were this 11 year old boy's hero.
