The Phillies' beloved announcer, Harry Kalas, has just died.
He was in the media booth, getting ready for the Phils/Nats game. He was 73 years old.

God, but we will miss him. RIP Harry.

3. I just can't believe it.
He was FINE yesterday. He was in Colorado for the Rockies series.

They found him on the floor of the Nats media booth at 12:30pm, and was prounounced dead at the hospital shortly thereafter.

I can't picture Phils baseball without him. :(

5. It's kinda eerie
Harry the K dies, in the broadcast booth, a few games after the ring ceremony for the Phils.

Good thing I'm an atheist.

6. Yeah - at least he was there for that, but....
he was supposed to meet President Obama tomorrow. The Phils canceled the White House visit.

7. I am so sorry BB.

I was heartbroken when Bob Casey (the long time PA announcer for the Twins) passed a few years ago.

9. I remember when that happened.

So, Phils fans now join Twins and Cubs fans who lost their beautiful baseball voices. This absolutely blows. :(

Thanks, Kitchie.
