My love/hate relationship with tornadoes.

I hate them because I'm scared shitless of them.

I love them, because they represent the awesome power of Mother Nature, plus they are interesting.

2. My nephew is a chaser in Oklahoma

He wanted to become a meteorologist, but realized he'd be stuck in an office looking at computer screens. When he finishes college, he'll have a job that can support his chasing habit.

7. I've been in a tornado

I was two years old, and I got hit by a falling tree. It gave me a concussion. And it's also my earliest memory. It was 37 years ago, but it's still very vivid in my mind.

I've also been very close to them since then, and I still don't like them.
